I just transplanted the basil yesterday morning, it's looking so amazing!  It's already about 4 inches tall, and both the Thai Basil and Italian Basil are doing really well.

My sweetpeas are also coming along, I put up the trellis last week, and am helping them climb by guiding them gently up the mesh.

It's such an exciting time in the greenhouse, almost all the seeds that I planted are up.  The lettuce is almost 2" high, and both it and the spinach are almost ready to be planted out in the garden!  The Scarlet Runner Beans are totally huge, with giant leaves and are starting to climb.  A real exciting time in the garden.

Wow!  The first sprouts have appeared in the greenhouse!  Last Sunday, March 11th, I planted a whole bunch of seeds in the greenhouse, and now the Grand Rapids lettuce and the Early Great Lakes lettuce have both appeared.  They look so sweet and adorable, the little tiny leaves poking up above the ground.  We had a few really nice sunny days there, and the greenhouse was nice and warm and steamy inside.  The last 4 days have been cloudy, and it's been cooler in the greenhouse, but much warmer than outside.

What an exciting time of year!

Haven't started planting anything yet but I just got a newsletter from Veseys with some amazing new flowers. The Egret flower and the Bat flower. Really must get them and plant them on the patio.

Another beautiful day here out in Powell River, the garden is sleeping peacefully and awaiting the spring.

I put some of my herbs into pots at the end of the season, and put them in the greenhouse.  There is Rosemary, Oregano, Common Thyme, Lemon Thyme and Sage.  They're all really happy in the greenhouse, and when it gets to be spring again, I'll replant them out in the garden.  When I bought them, they were just small bedding plants, and are now about 3 times as large, I'm looking forward to seeing how they grow in the springtime.
