Title: Never Fail Pie Dough
Submitted by: sness - June 21, 2006
5 - 5 ½ cups flour
2 T brown sugar
1 ½ tsps salt
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups lard
1 egg
1 T vinegar
Mix together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Cut in lard to make fine crumbs. Break egg into 1 cup measuring cup, add 1 T vinegar and enough water to fill almost to the 1 cup mark. Sprinkle water mixture over flour and blend in. Shape into a ball. Makes enough for 5 two crust pies. Will keep for 10 days refrigerated or can be shaped into balls and frozen.
