Title: Quick Raisin Butterscotch Pudding

1 cup flour
2 tsps baking powder
½ tsp salt
2 tsps sugar
2 T shortening or butter
1 cup raisins
½ cup milk
1 cup brown sugar
1 T butter
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups hot water
Sift together dry ingredients. Cut in 2 T shortening or butter. Add raisins, then gradually add milk, stirring with a fork just until ingredients are mixed. Spread in well-greased 9"x9" baking pan or casserole dish. Mix brown sugar, 1 T butter, vanilla, and hot water. Pour over top of batter (do not stir together) and bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Serve with cream. This recipe makes a raisin pudding on top with a brown sugar sauce underneath.
