Title: Lemon Loaf

½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
grated rind of 1 lemon
1 ½ cups flour
¼ tsp salt
1 ¼ tsp baking powder
2 eggs, beaten
½ cup milk
Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Place in greased loaf pan and bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
Topping:
Juice of 1 lemon
1/3 cup sugar
Mix together. Drizzle over top of loaf while it is still warm.
